We do not collect or use personal data for any purpose other than those indicated at the time your personal data is volunteered and we will not use your personal information for new purposes without first asking you for your consent for your personal data to be used for these purposes.

We have implemented security policies, rules and technical measures to protect the personal data that we have under our control from unauthorised access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorised modification and unlawful destruction or accidental loss. All our employees and data processors, who have access to, and are associated with the processing of personal data, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of our participants’ personal data.
We ensure that your personal data will not be disclosed to other institutions and authorities except if required by law or other regulation or unless we have already sought your consent.
How long we keep information
Data related to your involvement in the project, such as contracts, contact details etc., will only be stored for as long as necessary for the purpose we collected it. If, in the future, you decide that you no longer wish to have communications from us, you can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us at thesheffieldwheatexperiment@gmail.com. Once we have removed you from our communications, we may still retain some basic personal data in order to prevent us from sending you any further communications.
The data in the project’s content will be kept permanently as part of our collection.

Data processors
The project uses the following data processors for the provision of its services. These processors only manage the data according to our instructions and are bound by formal contracts.

Funders
We may share anonymised personal information with our funding partners, for example, National Lottery Heritage Fund, who use this to understand the impact of public investment made in The Sheffield Wheat Experiment.
